2022 Q4

Ashley Carey

Service advisor

I would like to recognise the hard work Ashley Carey puts into his everyday job. I am often in charge of following customers up on their service bookings and on most occasions, there is a positive compliment regarding Ashley’s customer service. He goes above and beyond to a standard where a customer goes out of his way to thank him. A G-tech was recently carried out on a customer’s vehicle and Ashley took it upon himself to then apply a coating to the tyre to blend in with the rest of the vehicle.

An example of feedback emails from customers are as follows:Dear RebeccaThe service I received was excellent and Ashley Carey is a credit to your organisation. Kind regardsMel Barrett07976 081010Hi Rebecca As always, the service at Aston Martin Nottingham is first rate and something that I do recommend to friends and colleagues, at every opportunity. Kind regards Simon Lawrence
Winner second place Andy Hill

Our sales team recently sold a McLaren GT in early October. It is the customer’s first McLaren and after a few days of ownership, he rang Aftersales concerned about why the car would not start and a few other questions.

Sam ran through the procedure for the key with the customer but could sense that customer had lots of technical questions rather than operational ones. On hearing the call Andy offered to visit the customer in Darwen (approx. 2 hours from the dealership) and run through the systems. Andy did this the next day and spent over 2 hours with the customer.

The customer rang me on 31/10/22 to say thank you for sending Andy. The customer said he answered all his questions in a professional and knowledgeable manner and couldn’t have been more helpful. He didn’t rush and spent as much time as was necessary. The customer said this was beyond any service he had received before and was now confident with his McLaren and was enjoying his ownership experience.

Winner third place

One of our very loyal and lovely customers Mike collected his fantastic new vehicle.  Julie discovered it would be his birthday a couple of days later, so she and James, the Sales Executive, wanted to give him something special and personal.

Julie popped out to a local farm shop and handpicked items to produce a lovely bespoke luxury hamper that she knew he would love including champagne, Truffles, Gin etc ….

He was so delighted he invited Julie and James to his birthday celebrations 

Amrit Uppal and Ellie Avggousti

Hosts

We received a call asking for our help. A lady called Melissa asked if she could bring her son to the dealership. He has HFA (Hi Functioning Autism). She explained he is besotted by Ferrari.

Amrit offered to host Ollie and his family.
They had a great time.
Melissa wrote a lovely post on Instagram as below:

“A huge thank you to Ellie and Amarit today. This is Ollie who has HFA. He is besotted with Ferrari and it was teacher training day. My husband took him to your garage. My husband and Ollie were made to feel welcome the second they walked through the door.

Ellie noticed there was something special about our boy and went above and beyond to make this a really special day. Amrit took him to get some sweets. He came back with a presenter pack given by Ellie and he has not put it down.

My Husband called and he was nearly in tears at just how lovely they both were. From one mum to another I will be eternally grateful for how you made Ollie’s day today after a hard week. Keep doing what you are doing because you really are making a difference more than you know.”

Georgie Deabill

Host

Georgie had heard that Richard Taylor’s daughter had passed her driving test and was super excited as her dad had purchased her a new car.
Georgie purchased a new White Company air freshener along with a signed card from us here at the dealership. Richard was a little taken aback by the fact she had done that and couldn’t thank her enough .

When speaking with Richard Taylor we found out this his daughter had passed her driving test, he was so proud to tell us and we thought it was only right we sent her a little congratulations gift from the White Company, to say well done.

Emily Ratcliffe

Sales Executive

Mr P was due to pick up his first New Ferrari, Emily had found out that it was the client’s birthday the day after the handover, but only the day before the client was due. She wanted to help celebrate his birthday, so got on the phone, arrange a custom cake for the client and drove to collect. On the day the client was blown away with the gesture of the cake and card signed by the team at Graypaul.

Neil Ross

Sales Executive

Our Sales Executive Neil Ross got a phone call from his customers Mr and Mrs McCann. They were at the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen and asked Neil for the code for their new 911 which was in production. The Porsche employees at the factory were delighted to have customers they could show their very own Porsche in production. They stopped the production within the factory, the staff were clapping with excitement watching Mr and Mrs McCan walk over to their brand new 911.

Our Sales Executive Neil Ross has never heard of this happening in his full sixteen years working for the brand and is delighted his customers got a special and memorable experience. To continue this experience, on the handover Neil decided to play the couple’s favourite ACDC song through the BOSE speakers. This created an amazing, uplifting atmosphere within the showroom with other customers watching with excitement. Mr and Mrs McCann drove out of the handover bay to their favourite ACDC song, windows down and smiling in their new 911!

Mr and Mrs McCann commented…‘Having visited many Porsche Centres including Wurzburg, Porsche Centre Glasgow continues to exceed our exceptions and the variety of vehicles on display is fantastic. Neil has always gone above and beyond to accommodate our visits and indeed whilst we were at the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen, Neil immediately took the call despite being busy as were required the production code for the 992 so we could see it during the factory tour. After having 2 Covid handovers with our Macan GTS and Cayenne, we were very excited about having the real experience for the 992. And WOW were we not overwhelmed by the whole day. From start to finish we were made feel that we were the single most important people in that building which is all anyone can every wish for when picking up their dream car. There was absolutely no rush and Neil made sure the day was very special. Ryan, head of valet ensured the car was pristine and thanks must go to him for his understanding of how pernickety we McCanns are!! To the point where Ryan checked with us that we were happy with the standard and was there anything we wanted him to do. Remarkable service.Porsche Glasgow gave us a day that we will remember forever and we are very thankful for everyone that was involved with that. Leaving Porsche Glasgow showroom with ACDC Thunderstuck blasting from the BOSE speakers certainly has everyone smiling!’

Alex Robinson

Sales Executive

Award Winner,

Winner first place Alex Robinson

Mr Gill worked with us to pick his Taycan up today – his first car with us. He really wanted a 911 turbo but isn’t quite there yet so Alex helped him spec up his Taycan just like the 911 he would eventually want…

The customer has brought his family down to collect the car and loves it. Alex gave him a personalised handover gift – his favourite bottle of whiskey…. Not only this but he has had the bottle engraved with the customer’s name to commemorate the special day
Honestly, the customer welled up and I’m sure is a customer of Alex’s for life!!!

Mr Gill Said to me personally " Alex has been the best person I have dealt with in any business not just car dealerships, He's taken service to the next level "

Fiona Boston

Workshop Cotroller

Fiona Boston

Fiona has recently become the Centre Community/Charity project team leader and has launched new initiatives that have inspired our team to do more community engagement work, Most recently Fiona identified that there were around twenty rough sleepers residing in and around MK train station.

Working closely with Georgia Leggett (a member of our accounts team) they arranged for goody bags containing New Socks. Toothbrush/toothpaste, chocolate, and a thermos mug topped up with hot soup to be given to the rough sleepers. This will not solve the problem of homelessness in our country but it has gone some way to demonstrate that we are aware of them and are concerned for their health and wellbeing.

Lauren Cohen

Showroom Host

Lauren Cohen

Lauren Cohen received a lovely email from a customer who visited the Graypaul Maserati Edinburgh Showroom thanking Lauren for their excellent experience visiting the dealership.

Hi Lauren,

My son, Liam, and I would like to thank you for your hospitality yesterday when we visited GrayPaul.

It was great to meet you and some of the team throughout the dealerships and the ‘approach-ability’ factor was second to none. Knowing that we (sadly due to lack of financial ability) were not prospective customers you and the team could not have made us more welcome and that means a lot. No wonder the existing client base speaks highly of you all.

I see the Autobahn Scotland date for the 13th of November at Queensferry, as you mentioned yesterday, and hope that we can make it. It looks like a great day, judging by the photos!

Ps started saving for the MC20. I hope to be able to raise the deposit by 2085!!

Kind regards and best wishes to you and ‘The Team’!

Jim and Liam Meredith
